The River Dee beats in conjunction with Dee Anglers Assoc around Holt and Fandon are one of the best places for all round fishing especially in winter months when it really comes into its own. A wide variety of fish can be caught including chub, barbel, grayling, roach, rudd, bream and pike
With a good variety of beats with car parking available within close walking distance of most of the beats. A total of nine beats are availabe in the area with changing swims and challenging fishing in a tidal river.
Please note since publication of the booklet Beat Six is no longer available but a additional beat is available on the Farndon side at the end of the carp park with toilets. Follow walkway at end to a new beat - signposted Dee Anglers Association.
