Looking for new members to the club committee

Nantwich Angling Society is recognised as having one of the best value for money angling clubs in the country with fishing available on 4 different rivers for £10 per year!

The club continues to go from strength to strength with an increasing membership and several exciting developments in the pipeline.

In order to meet these potential new developments Nantwich AS are looking to recruit a number of new members to the club committee. There is no job description as such however committee members must be able to commit to 1 committee meeting on the second Monday each month and be prepared to take joint responsibility for developing a particular area.

Found - Are you missing a middle section of your fishing pole?

One of our members has found a pole middle section in Nantwich on the River Weaver behind the lake while he was fishing.

Somewhere someone else has not realised they have left a piece of the pole behind and are probably wondering where the hell it is? (if it was mine I know i would ...!!)

Can i also thank the member who has contacted me and took the time to take the section back home for safekeeping until we find the owner.

Thank you to everyone that took the time to visit us in the Countryside Arena of the show. It was nice to meet quite a few of our members and we would also like to welcome the new members who joined at the show. What was really encouraging were the number of youngsters asking about fishing or parents returning to fishing after many years away because their children now wanted to go.

We had our display stand and also a dvd display of our waters and fish caught. People were very enthuastic and suprised at what fish had been caught on the River Weaver in Nantwich as well as the other rivers we offer for the price of our season ticket.

We were also well supported by the Environment Agency who loaned us banners on fishing as well as supplying booklets which proved a very popular give away with young and older people alike.

Fishing shop moves to new premises

Crewe Carp N Match have moved further along West Street and changed their name to Crewe Match Angling Centre Ltd - Go and support Paul at his new premises opposite Fitness First/King George Playing Fields.
