River Dee
The River Dee around Holt and Farndon is one of the best places for all round fishing especially in Winter months when it really comes into its own. A wide variety of fish can be caught including chubb, barbel, roach, rudd, pike and brown trout.
Good car parking is available within close walking distance of most of the beats and in Holt by the town bridge, the car park (with toilets) is adjacent to the river.Members of N.A.S. can fish the River Dee providing their NAS card shows the Dee Anglers Association sticker atttached..
River Weaver
The River Weaver flows through the picturesque town of Nantwich noted for its beautiful Elizabethan buildings amongst other things. Within walking distance of the town are numerous places for fishing which are easily accessible (with free parking) and some platforms are suitable for disabled access with parking nearby.
The fishing varies from slower moving water in the fishing pools by the lakes, to faster flowing water in the mainstreams.The species of fish caught include Chub, Carp, Grayling, Pike, Roach, Bream,Dace, Perch, Gudgeon, Tench, Brown and Rainbow Trout.
